Light: The lime prefers direct sunlight. Place the plant in bright, direct light for several hours a day.
Watering: Keep the substrate slightly moist, but avoid waterlogging. Allow the top layer of the substrate to dry out before watering again.
Humidity: Tolerates moderate levels of humidity, but is not critical to its well-being.
Fertilisation: During the growing season, apply a balanced fertiliser specifically for citrus. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and avoid over-fertilisation.
Temperature: It prefers warm climates and does not tolerate frost well. Protect the plant from extremely low temperatures.
Pruning: Perform light pruning to shape the plant and remove dead or diseased growth.
Pest Control: Inspect regularly for pests and deal with them immediately if found.
Soil: Use a well-drained, good quality substrate.
Winter Protection: If you live in an area with cold winters, protect the plant from extreme cold and frost.
Signs of weakness
Yellow leaves: Leaf discolouration may be indicative of nutrient problems, overwatering or soil deficiencies.
Premature Leaf Drop: Sudden temperature changes, lack of light, water stress or root problems can cause early leaf drop.
Shriveled or stunted fruit: Fruit formation problems may be the result of insufficient pollination, lack of nutrients or adverse environmental conditions.
Leaf Spots: Brown or yellow spots may indicate disease, sunburn or irrigation problems.
Slow or Weak Growth: Slow growth may be due to nutritional deficiencies, substrate problems or unfavourable environmental conditions.
