Myrtillocactus geometrizans or Garambullo is a cactus native to Mexico. It is well known for its edible and sweet fruit. It can grow up to 4 metres.

It is not toxic for children or pets, but it is recommended to keep it out of reach because of the spines.
Excessive water can destroy its roots.

• Light: prefers direct light.
• Moderate watering: only when the substratum is dry, in winter to ration and to suspend the watering if necessary.
• Humidity: it does not love humidity, it should not be sprayed.
• Top tip: it is one of the most commonly used species for grafting.

The fruit of the Garambullo is used to make jam, lucores, wines and other foods. It also helps to control glucose levels.
