Tips for successful Basil growing:

• From 4-5 weeks, or when the plant has 3 pairs of leaves, you can start harvesting.
• Cut the main stem 1 cm above a node (no more!). It will grow back with two stems, giving you a bushier plant. Make sure you leave at least 2 pairs of leaves on the stem. Never cut the leaves at the base of the main stem, as this will weaken the plant. You can then enjoy your basil every week for 4 to 6 months.
• Thai basil flowers quickly. Cut the flowers as soon as they appear to preserve flavour and encourage leaf production. It is important to prune and harvest your herbs regularly, before the leaves reach the light.
