Direct light

Prefers direct exposure to sunlight.

Water once a week and fortnightly in cold weather allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Water more frequently in brighter light conditions.

Any kind of humidity is fine, you can spray it every 2 weeks.

This plant is safe for your pet, they can live together happily.

For their maximum happiness, help their growth with fertiliser during the first and summer.

-slow development without flowers: needs more fertiliser.

- Lower leaves dry and damaged: needs a more sheltered position.

- Wrinkled leaves: excessive dryness and heat. Needs to be watered more and/or moved to a cooler place.

- Leaves mottled with yellow spots. Brown bugs on stems and underside of leaves: mealy bugs, use appropriate insecticide for this problem.

- Leaves fading in colour: lack of light. Move it to a different location.

- Leaves shrivel and die after flowering: Ananas die after flowering. Propagate new plants by sprouting.
