Recommendations
  • Not considered safe for children or pets if ingested. All parts of the plant, including the leaves and seeds, contain compounds that can be toxic if consumed in large quantities. Therefore, it is important to keep the plant out of reach of children and pets, and to supervise their interaction with it to prevent any accidental ingestion.
Care
  • Light: Prefers full sun for optimal growth. Place the palm in a location where it receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day.

  • Water: Water regularly during the growing season, keeping the substrate slightly moist. Reduce watering in winter, allowing the top layer of the substrate to dry out between waterings.

  • Soil: Use a well-drained, fertile substrate. Make sure the pot has drainage holes in the bottom to avoid waterlogging of the roots.

  • Temperature: Tolerates a wide range of temperatures, but prefers warm climates and does not tolerate frost well. Protect the plant from extreme cold during winter.

  • Fertilisation: Apply a balanced palm fertiliser once a month during the growing season. Follow the product instructions for proper dosage.

  • Pruning: Trim dead or damaged leaves as needed to maintain a tidy appearance and prevent plant health problems.

  • Transplant: Transplant the palm to a slightly larger pot when the roots completely fill the current pot, usually every two to three years.
