Its name comes from the Latin ''punteada'' (dotted). Originally from the most tropical areas of Mexico, its name is due to the very special and characteristic dots on its leaves. This plant is also known as "angel's wings" because of the cascading leaves, which create the optical effect of an angel.

This little plant develops an incredible capacity for self-sufficiency if the conditions of its origin are produced to a certain extent.

Keep it away from your pets. The ingestion of its leaves can cause them stomach upset.
