In fact, sometimes we want to get into this wonderful world but we know where to start... there are so many options! And the plants are so beautiful that you don't have to choose. There are hundreds of theories about personality, but to keep it simple, let's use Carl Jung's proposal. This disciple of Freud laid the foundation for many concepts of personality that are used today. In fact, if you've used the terms "introvert" and "extrovert," you should know that it was Jung who coined them.
From the 4 basic psychological functions (thinking, feeling, intuiting and perceiving), 2 types of character are determined: introverted and extroverted; and from the conjunction of these characteristics we can establish 8 defined personality types:
Reflective- Extroverted
Theyare very cerebral, objective people, who always act according to reason. They may seem cold and rigid to others, because they want to do the right thing and do not hesitate to impose their visions on other people. Thoughtful-extroverts are good at plants that require care and defined structures, such as a Bonsai Ficus Ginseng.
Reflective-introverted
The reflective introvert is curious, always interested in learning. They have an active imagination and it is not uncommon for them to believe in conspiparanoid theories. They are very stubborn and strive to get what they set out to do. They will surely be attracted to the mysterious movements of the Prayer Flower and adore the color scheme.
Sentimental Extrovert:
I'm sure you know that person who seems able to make connections with other people almost immediately. They make friends, bond and are very empathetic, they find it very easy to communicate with others and they love to be in groups. For these social butterflies, the best plant is the Chinese Money Plant, as it is said that giving the buds of this prolific plant to friends will bring prosperity and good luck to all.
Sentimental introvert:
This type of person prefers solitude and interacting with small groups. They may have good social skills, but large groups exhaust and overwhelm them. They are very empathetic, they know how to listen and they don't like to be the center of attention. For these introverts, the Peace Lily is ideal, as it will offer an undemanding companion, which will give you beautiful flowers all year round and purify the environment without being too invasive. It also has a nice symbolism.
Perceptive Extroverted
This type of person seeks the adrenaline rush of the unknown. They are always looking for new experiences, they get bored with routine. Cheerful, vivacious, full of energy, they can't seem to sit still. These people have a hard time staying in repetitive situations and are constantly on the move, so a plant like Sansevieria can adapt to their risky pace of life. The snake plant is gorgeous, but it's also almost immortal, so it can survive if its owner goes on adventures and forgets to water it.
Perceptive Introvert
Artists, byvocation or by heart, usually belong to this type of personality. They appreciate aesthetics, they are always in search of stimulation and sensory experiences. They are able to enjoy and perceive details of texture, colors, shapes and smells because these are what make up their inner experiences. These artists use a plant like Ctenanthe Burle Marxii or Calatheas (Roseopicta or triostar, much better if you give them a complete trio). They will love the shapes, their colors, stains and details.
If
you've ever met a person who is always starting a new business, learning something new, starting a project, and who are active, then you were an intuitive extrovert. They are restless, tenacious and always need to be on the move, they don't know what it is to rest and they need that stimulus of the new. For this type of person, a resistant and very interesting plant, such as Zamioculca, is ideal. They grow fast, don't need too much care and are very pretty. It's the kind of challenge you can take on, because it won't interfere with your plans.
These
arepeople who are always in the clouds, dreaming, imagining, and creating. Empathy is their forte, in fact it feels as if they are able to guess what others think, need or want. They establish these deep bonds with others and are able to notice very subtle details. These people can use plants that require a little more care, as they have the patience, the eye, and the sensitivity to notice their requirements. The Calathea Roseopicta, a Fittonia or a cute fern could be the perfect companions for an intuitive-introvert.
